Educational Valentines Ideas- Heart Puzzles
It’s time to bond with your little learners through these educational Valentines ideas! These are an easy fun way to help kids work on facts. For valentines day I cut up 26 hearts, and wrote a capital letter on one side, and a lower case letter on the opposite side. You then cut a zig-zag through the heart. Lay all the lower case letters out, and give the student the capital letters, then they go through and find the matches. You could use this same activity for more advanced skills, such as math facts, reading comprehension, character matching, etc. Hope you all have a fun Valentines Day!
We love using holidays has another excuse to create more educational activities! Here’s few more simple ones:
Have your students use Valentine conversation hearts to create sentences and even stories! Then you could even them put create an actual ‘conversation’ as an additional way to practice quotation marks.
I LOVE this one for your new little learners! Pick a fun Valentine candy, sort them by color (or size) and work with your student to build a graph showing color.
Holidays really are a great time to help your child start that love of learning and creating!
